GSLIS 709 – Research and Bibliographic Methods

“Survey of research methods in library and information studies; supervised individual project to fulfill research requirement of the New York State Department of Education.”

Reflections:

I chose to do a hands-on final project: I migrated 500+ vintage postcards from ContentDM platform to the open-source platform called Omeka. I then wrote a paper that chronicled the experience and the lessons I learned. “Postcards from the New York Waterways” is available here, and my final paper is available in a pdf.
